Travel Diary #HanokVillage

This is one of my favorite places in Korea: Bukchon Hanok village (북촌한옥마을). This place is located in “서울특별시 종로구 계동길 37”. This area is surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, it is home to hundreds of traditional houses in between lots of alleys. Most of these beautiful Hanoks are there since the presence of Joseon dynasty (showing a 600 year-old environment). The meaning of this name “Bukchon”, literally translates to "northern village” due to its location! There you can find some Hanoks that serve as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants, tea houses, museums, galleries, artwork centers, shops and more!

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is an actual neighborhood where people are living in. We should be really respectful when visiting to not disturb them!

If you have any chance, visiting here is a must! Surround yourself with cultural activities, delicious traditional food and beautiful sceneries!
