Studying abroad process from my POV
I started researching deeply since I was a senior in high school. In my university there is a department for studying abroad. I used to go between breaks to learn more of it and all the requirements I needed in order to be accepted by a Korean university as an exchange student. In my case, the requirements were:
-Be a regular university student at that university
-Your grades must be above B
-Language knowledge preferred
-Take more than 3 courses at foreign university
I applied through an organization that has a bound program with my university, this is based in United states, so it can vary by country! Also, I wasn't sponsored for any circumstances besides visa grant by university. All the expenses were handled by my parents. There are many scholarships for visiting students, such as:
-Exchange student sponsor
-Permanent student sponsor (KGS OR KGSP)
-Language study grant
There are lots of website with more information about it and all the resources for any country that is available!
ALL processes may be different but if you are strong enough to start your journey... YOU CAN DO ALL. Consistency, awareness, patience, motivation, love, passion, effort and discipline are the key factors that made me achieve this 1 year abroad experience! You can do everything with the right motivation. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't or that you dream too big... they just can't accept the fact that your vision is wide, and theirs isn't! Go and achieve that goal of studying in Korea. REMEMBER, if you fail... it is NOT the end. It ends whenever you want to. Things can go on your way at the right moment!
